What is an Honorary Doctorate?

An honorary doctorate degree is an academic degree for which a university (or other degree-awarding institution) waives the usual degree requirements. The degree is often conferred as a way of honoring a distinguished person's contributions to a specific field or to society in general. In some cases. It is given to graduation speakers at a university or college.

Honorary degrees represent Global International Alliance's highest recognition of outstanding and distinguished contributions to scholarship, creativity, leadership, and humanitarian or public service. that represent a state-level, national or international model to others and reflect the broad mission of the university.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: The Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism is NOT a PhD

Qualifications & Information

Honoree must be at least 25 years of age.
Honoree must provide a minimum of at least 3 references (non-relative references are preferred)
Honoree must demonstrate good standing in character
Honoree must provide a one to two-page biography disclosing any pertinent background information and character (i.e. educational background, community services/volunteer, acts of humanitarianism, philosophy of life, achievements, organizational memberships, and/or honors)
Honoree must participate in a 1.5-hour virtual orientation/curriculum course (after the full payment is made)
If participating on commencement day, the honoree is required to attend pre-graduation rehearsal (preferably the day before the commencement)
The honoree understands and agrees that the Dr. Dianna Global Enterprises reserves the right to collect, use, retain, and disclose information about the Honoree in accordance with DDGE Privacy Policy and other applicable laws.
